Heinz Obermayer, inventor and designer of the world's first all carbonfiber wheelset has developed a new set of wheels: Lightweight “Ventoux” at only 950 g for the complete set, combined with 20 tough fiber spokes. Obermayer achieved this weight by using an extremely light rim, thereby reducing the mass at the outer diameter of the wheel to an absolute minimum. Carbon Sports (07/06)
