Australian cyclist fits continental tyres
Last year, 53-year-old German fitness freak Achim Heukemes ran the equivalent of two-and-a-half marathons every day for 43 days to set a record for the 4,586 kilometres between Perth and Sydney. This month, 39-year-old Australian cyclist Dick Vollebregt hopes to make the record books as well with a successful two-wheel attempt on the 14-year-old record of nine days, 23 hours and 25 minutes set by Japan's Tomio Uranyu.
